Occasionally, users will provide your chatbot with sensitive data.
The data masking feature allows you to prevent this data from being seen by human eyes.
Masked data can still be used for authentication purposes.
Masking sensitive data
Go to Chats → Builder.
Find the conversation where users are likely to provide sensitive data.
Find the specific step where users are likely to provide sensitive data (such as a step where they provide their address or account details).
Click Options in the top right of the step.
When editing the step's name (this will be selected by default), toggle Does this step ask for any sensitive information that should not be stored? to Yes.
Any information provided by a user for this step will be masked inside the platform.
